A-Cube API

A-Cube builds flexible API-based solutions that make it easy to connect government agencies and businesses, supporting companies' digital transformation in invoicing and e-procurement.

The client's goal

From the kickoff, the company specifically asked for a flexible website that would make it easy to create new content, so it could expand the sitemap and grow the number of pages.

Together we decided to build the site with the Agency solution, because it kept costs and time to launch under control while delivering an ultra-modern platform.

A multi-product website

We worked on a sitemap that presents A-Cube's content from both a product and a solution perspective, with two parallel navigation paths that converge at various points of the visit.

Most of the simplification work went into layout modeling: we made sure layouts were complete and flexible, while making it possible to build several page types from the same template.

Iterating on low-fidelity wireframes

Given how important the conversion flow is for a key channel like A-Cube's website, we designed low-fidelity templates and shared them with the client to ensure a logical, functional structure for every type of user. Where possible we iterated, changing the logic of blocks that weren't aligned with A-Cube's way of working.

A clear style and a clean interface

Once the planning phase was complete, we focused on user interface design, starting from the moodboards shared with the client.

The color palette is high-contrast, with bold, saturated colors, while the typography has a modern, lively style that naturally fits the subject matter.

For the UI we built flexible components that can be used across multiple templates with significant variations, helping maintain visual consistency and simplifying development.

Modern development

To build this site we took a DatoCMS-centered approach, using NEXT.js for page generation and Netlify for content delivery.

Performance is outstanding even on very complex pages, with good speeds even on 3G mobile connections.

An accessible website

From the start, the A-Cube website was designed to be fully accessible. That means it can be navigated easily with a mouse, keyboard or voice.

We adapted the site's content to work with screen readers and paid special attention to contrast between backgrounds and text, ensuring good readability throughout.

Website illustrations

Alongside the UI/UX work, our design team also handled the website's illustrations, creating a series of vector icon-style illustrations.
It all followed a structured process carried out with the client, from the mood phase through design rounds to the final output.

Conversion-optimized copy

The Cantiere Creativo team also helped the client write the copy for every page of the website at launch, drawing on more than a decade of experience in strategic copywriting for SaaS.

Since the copy was written in-house, it was also easy to manage text lengths and work on page modeling without needing developers.
