Palerna

La Palerna is a Tuscan farm estate renowned for its local products, its history and its food and wine experiences. It needed a website that would showcase its full offering.

A website that brings out its best

Beyond telling the story of the estate, La Palerna wanted to show prospective customers its products and highlight their craftsmanship. It also wanted to keep them up to date through a news section and display the catalog of experiences that can be booked at the estate.

The Agency method helped us identify the site's priority areas from the earliest phases. A thorough interview and the analysis that followed brought less obvious needs to light.

Simplicity and clarity

The information architecture and template modeling followed one principle: every area of the offering should have its own section on the site.

The fully customizable homepage lets the team decide each time which news and products to feature, including based on the seasonality of the estate's production.

Color harmony and elegance

The color palette and font were inspired by the colors of the estate's main products, olive oil and wine. The font was chosen to draw users into browsing the pages just like a journey through the estate.

The product pages were designed to highlight the features most sought after by enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Each olive oil or wine lists its raw materials, alcohol content and possible uses. Quality certificates or other in-depth information can also be attached.

A tour of the estate and its products, for everyone

We followed accessibility best practices: the site is fully keyboard-navigable, with particular attention paid to color and text contrast.

A powerful stack

DatoCMS made the La Palerna team independent in managing content. Next.js made browsing on desktop and mobile highly dynamic for La Palerna customers looking for wine, olive oil or perhaps an experience at the estate.
