Develer, the event organizer, needed a platform that combined flexibility in creating new pages, including multi-room schedules, with ease of use for the editorial team.

The Kickoff phase helped us bring to light the site's information requirements and the needs of prospective conference attendees.

Working closely with Develer, we clearly defined a user experience that lets visitors view the program, learn about the speakers and get the information they need in just a few clicks.

Another key section of the site is dedicated to past editions, designed so that new users can grasp the scale of the event at a glance

Our team also worked alongside Develer's illustrators. Once the style tiles were approved, we provided guidelines on the color palette, fonts and style that reflected accessibility best practices. The illustrations were then placed into the high-fidelity wireframes, giving the client an output very close to the final result.

We developed a fast, accessible front end that made the editorial team completely independent from developers.

All editorial pages are modular, taking full advantage of DatoCMS structured text.

The final site offers a fully customizable program, with the option to add multiple venues for the same event.

The editorial team can manage multiple editions of the conference from the same CMS instance, reusing relevant published assets without duplicating them.

The design work for the Golab conference paved the way for Develer's other conference: Rustlab. Working with variables made the project easily scalable, and within two months Develer had two sites ready for content entry that differ in style but deliver the same speed and accessibility.
