Il Grande Museo del Duomo

We created a website with a simple, modern design, accessible from any device, translated into 10 languages and able to handle a huge volume of daily visits. The site was built with attention to detail on both the frontend and the backend, using Ruby on Rails, Sass and Coffescript.

The Grande Museo del Duomo is a complex of monuments that forms one of the most beautiful squares in Florence and in Italy, visited by more than 6 million people every year. The new museum opened in October 2015: a space of about 8000 m² full of stories and wonders, for which we built the virtual tour app and the installation on the choir books.

A true collection of treasures from Antiquity to the 20th century that, over time, made the names of the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens famous: three museum sites joined and connected since the Renaissance by the ingenious Vasari Corridor, which together form one of the most important and most visited cultural hubs in the world.

Santa Croce Opera

Opera Santa Maria Novella

We built a simple, essential website that gives visitors to the monumental complex all the information they need: opening hours, prices, events, notices and descriptions of the main artworks.
One problem the Opera team asked us to solve was selling tickets and taking group bookings directly from the website. The online ticket office offers an instant purchase flow and uses Stripe to handle payments.

App for the Grande Museo del Duomo

For the new Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, we were commissioned to design and build an app for future visitors. We handled every aspect of design, usability, development and integration with the Ministry's artwork data. The app is built with the most innovative web technologies for mobile devices and leverages Bluetooth.
