A break with the past, or a break to the future
A historic event for the Uffizi Gallery: a new brand and a new website designed by CarmieUbertis. A true media revolution. The apparent simplicity of the site is the result of a careful study of information architecture that opens multiple paths to the evolution of this publishing platform. It is a custom-designed and built system using state of the art technologies to connect the different targets with its various content areas in a cross-functional manner. The static sections to which we are accustomed thus disappear, giving rise to dynamic structures that evolve and are enriched day after day.
The new visual identity
On September 27th the new brand and the new site were presented to the public. Director Eike Schmidt invited us to present our work in the magnificent setting of the Sala Bianca in Palazzo Pitti.
Planning a visit is one of the most important activities for a user: how to present the museum, what services to expect upon arrival, where to eat, how long a visit lasts. Each museum has its unique elements whose pages have been designed to clarify these aspects.
Color palette: The guidelines of the new brand include the use of the Gold, Red Coral, and Green Mint colors associated with the three primary buildings: Uffizi, Palazzo Piti, Boboli Garden. Each work, item, or event associated with one of the museums is highlighted with an effect that immediately identifies the museum setting it to which it belongs.
Imagines is the magazine conceived as a monthly publications in which in-depth articles will be accompanied by Glaux, a section managed by the Director himself
