Boboli Gardens Wayfinding

We had the chance to work with the Uffizi Galleries once again, this time on the wayfinding for the Boboli Gardens.

For years the Gardens had basic signage that failed to clearly show the points of interest or the best route, costing visitors time and energy.

The first step toward the new signage was conceiving and designing a clear, easy-to-read map that tells visitors everything they need to know about the Gardens before and during their visit.

Once the map was in place, the actual wayfinding work began: studying the most effective ways to help visitors find points of interest while also showing walking times and slope gradients, so they can save energy. It was also crucial to make the location of all available services (restrooms, fountains, viewpoints, etc.) clear and legible.
