We avoid phone calls and email in our day-to-day work with the team, keeping these channels for official and/or administrative communication. Our tool of choice, tried and tested for years, is Basecamp, which lets us communicate asynchronously with clients and collaborators.
Basecamp also lets us store project documentation and provide up-to-date progress reports that clients can follow with complete transparency. We can also take support requests or schedule retrospective calls to review the quality of the work done so far.
