Headless PA

The innovative digital solution for the Public Administration

Discover the solution that keeps public administrations compliant with government guidelines on open source and software reuse, without giving up modern, higher-quality services.

Public administrations face many bureaucratic constraints that are often seen as roadblocks to adopting modern technology.

That isn't the case, as our work for the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transformation, which effectively sets the rules for all government infrastructure, proves.

A public administration needs a highly customized design to communicate what makes it unique, and a system to efficiently manage content of public interest.

The benefits

Choosing the Headless PA solution brings a range of benefits:

01

A model administration

one that applies AgID principles and fully implements Articles 68 and 69 of the Digital Administration Code;

02

The best web technologies

you can use external services (Software as a Service, such as DatoCMS, Algolia, Vercel) that provide APIs for content management and performance optimization, greater infrastructure security and a significant reduction in maintenance costs;

03

Open, shared tools

we set up IT channels in the institution's name to release the website and the Design System (digital UI components) as open source, so they can be reused across multiple vendors;

The process

The solution's development process can be summed up in three phases:

01

Creating a GitHub profile

in the PA's name, plus training for the maintainer

02

Releasing the site's frontend code

in a dedicated Git repo

03

Releasing the Design System in a dedicated Git repo

We build the Design System in Figma, make the link public and export it in Sketch open XML format.
